Bernard Weinstein, PhD., director of the Center of Economic Research and Development at the University of North Texas explains what the current economic recession means to the Dallas-Fort Worth area, and why the metroplex isn’t in a recession. Weinstein attributes Denton’s resistance to recession to its rapid growth in population. Weinstein also breaks down the procedures and deciding factors as to what constitutes an economic recession.
